Lack of communication / updates on this order is disappointing.
Having placed a confirmed order with Knives and Tools on the 30th of January with an estimated shipment date of the 18th of February. This estimated shipment date has not been updated and is still showing on the order today the 11th of March. I ordered every grit version of the Naniwa diamond pro sharpening stones, all of which you delivered on time with the exception of the 400 grit version. The lack of any communication from you relating to this left me no choice but to purchase a Naniwa ceramic stone 325 grit from you (to avoid ending ending up with two 400 grit stones) and allow to get started sharpening a series of very blunt tools. The standard Knives and Tools cardboard…
The standard Knives and Tools cardboard shipping box is well designed and very robust. Unlike boxes I receive from other suppliers, I have never received a crushed or damaged box from you with any of the many parcels you have delivered to me. Your boxes are strong enough to allow you to use a minimum amount of sellotape type of plastic tape, which really makes recycling the cardboard so much easier. You could though take that one final step and eliminate the sellotape type of plastic tape altogether and move to a fully recyclable paper based tape (as Amazon have already done) that stays with the box and packing paper to make your shipping materials 100% recyclable.

Likes: Clear information of products that are in stock and a timeline for when out of stock items will become available. Very fast dispatch and delivery at a fixed price that includes all taxes incurred by bringing products into the UK. Using UPS as your courier which means fast delivery times and excellent tracking information. Responsive very helpful customer service staff and communication’s, immediately responding to a request I made to correct an error I had made in a quantity (ordered two of an item instead of just one). They corrected my error and dropped me an email straightaway confirming they had fixed it for me (above and beyond level of customer service in this day and age). What could you do better: nothing I can think of.

I like the really competitive pricing, the vast range of products that match my interests (your company name says it all) and the fast cost effective courier delivery service. The only issue I can come up with is how often many popular items go out of stock, most recently Everything Jende and some Naniwa diamond pro stones. I suspect there is little you can do about this as demand for these products probably outstrips supply all the time.
